St. Mary’s Villa Campus is a retirement community situated on 75 picturesque acres in Elmhurst, Pennsylvania. Conveniently located just minutes southeast of Scranton, minutes from Interstate 81, 380 & 84, and is readily accessible. Our staff provides independent and assisted living to seniors and their families from the neighboring communities of Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne Counties.

St. Mary’s Villa is a non-profit campus consisting of a Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center and Personal Assisted Living Home open to all faiths, races and cultures. As a non-profit campus our focus is providing quality care and maintaining a tradition that began in 1924. Our residents have the option of accessing several levels of care provided on campus so that it is possible to “age in place.”

On behalf of Ken Ferron, VP, Post-Acute Care Operations and the St. Mary’s Villa Board of Directors, please join us in welcoming Nancy Newcomb, RN, who has accepted the role as Administrator at St. Mary’s Villa. Nancy Newcomb has been employed with St. Mary’s Villa since January 31, 2001 in the capacity of a charge nurse. Since May 1, 2002, Nancy was promoted to Director of Nursing and was responsible for the overall administration of the skilled nursing service program.

As Administrator at St. Mary’s Villa, Nancy will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal regulations, overall directing, and management of the facility, and coordinating the implementation of policies for all facets of the facility.

We are confident Nancy will continue the mission of the Poor Sisters of Jesus Crucified and the Sorrowful Mother by continuing to provide quality care, compassion and excellence as she has demonstrated for so many years at the Villa.

St. Mary’s Villa Campus is a retirement community formed in 1924 by the Poor Sisters of Jesus Crucified and the Sorrowful Mother with the focus on compassionate, quality care to the orphans in the area and quickly grew into a leader in care for others in the region. Maintaining the tradition of quality independent and assisted living care continues to be our mission that the Poor Sisters of Jesus Crucified and Sorrowful Mother developed and has enabled us to be a top rated continuing care retirement community (CCRC) and assisted living facility in the area.

"St. Mary’s Villa Residence is a safe, clean and secure environment. The staff is caring, compassionate and gives good nursing care. The nursing staff is available 24 hours a day.  They show an interest in all the residents.
