St. Mary’s Villa Campus is a retirement community situated on 75 picturesque acres in Elmhurst, Pennsylvania. Conveniently located just minutes southeast of Scranton, minutes from Interstate 81, 380 & 84, and is readily accessible. Our staff provides independent and assisted living to seniors and their families from the neighboring communities of Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne Counties.
St. Mary’s Villa is a non-profit campus consisting of a Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center and Personal Assisted Living Home open to all faiths, races and cultures. As a non-profit campus our focus is providing quality care and maintaining a tradition that began in 1924. Our residents have the option of accessing several levels of care provided on campus so that it is possible to “age in place.”

From I-81 North
Take River Street Exit to stop sign. At stop sign, go left, then right onto Meadow Avenue. Continue 2 blocks to traffic light @ Moosic Street (Route 307). Turn right at this intersection and continue on Rt. 307 about 5 miles where the road converts to a no passing area. Turn left onto Blue Shutters Road. Continue until you pass under I-380 Bridge. Turn left onto St. Mary’s Villa Road. St. Mary’s Villa Campus is approximately 1 mile on the right. Turn right into the the campus. St. Mary’s Villa Campus is the first building on the left.
From 1-81 South
Take I-380 South from I-81 South about 3/4 mile, stay in far left lane taking Exit 2 left onto Route 435 South and continue for approximately 4 miles. You will pass a gas station on the left and shortly thereafter a concrete bridge. After crossing the bridge, take a SHARP right onto Front Street. Continue for about 1/2 mile and you will see St. Mary’s Villa Road that bears to the left. Continue up the hill approximately 1/2 mile and St. Mary’s Villa Campus is on the left. Turn left into the campus. St. Mary’s Villa Campus is on the left.
From I-380 North
!-380 North to Daleville exit (Route 307). Left at stop sign. Take Route 307 about 3 miles to Blue Shutters Road. Turn right onto Blue Shutters Road. Continue until you pass under I-380 Bridge. Turn left onto St. Mary’s Villa Road. St. Mary’s Villa Campus is approximately one mile on the right. Turn right into the campus. St. Mary’s Villa Campus is on the left.
From I-84 West
I-84 West to Mount Cobb Exit. Turn left at traffic light onto Route 438, follow to Route 435. (You will be on a four-lane highway. Be careful as you must pass under the northbound lanes and turn left at the stop sign to Rt. 435) Travel approximately 1 mile on Rt. 435; you will pass a gas station on the left and shortly thereafter a concrete bridge. After crossing the bridge take a SHARP right onto Front Street. Continue for about 1/2 mile where St. Mary’s Villa Road bears left. Continue up the hill approximately 1/2 mile and St. Mary’s Villa Campus is on the left. Turn left into the campus. St. Mary’s Villa Campus is on the left.

St. Mary’s Villa Campus is a retirement community formed in 1924 by the Poor Sisters of Jesus Crucified and the Sorrowful Mother with the focus on compassionate, quality care to the orphans in the area and quickly grew into a leader in care for others in the region. Maintaining the tradition of quality independent and assisted living care continues to be our mission that the Poor Sisters of Jesus Crucified and Sorrowful Mother developed and has enabled us to be a top rated continuing care retirement community (CCRC) and assisted living facility in the area.

St. Mary’s Villa Community Easter Egg Hunt. Free community event for kids 12 years of age and under. Bring your Easter basket to collect your Easter eggs. Event will be held outside weather permitting. It will be moved inside in inclement weather. Free visits with the Easter Bunny. Free Ice Cream will be served in our Ice Cream Parlor. Refreshments and Music. Event will be held at St. Mary’s Villa Assisted Living Complex.
