What does St. Mary’s Villa Campus consist of?

Residence which provides personal care/independent living in a retirement home community setting.

Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center which offers transitional care between hospital and home. Care provided is a combination of rehabilitation and skilled nursing.

What is personal care?

Personal care offers seniors the help they need with the tasks of daily living, a residential retirement home community that supports and encourages their independence, and opportunities to live a full and engaging life.

What is a continuing care retirement home community and does St. Mary’s Villa offer this?

Yes – we are a retirement home community with accommodations for independent living, assisted living, and nursing home care, offering residents a continuum of care. A person can spend the rest of their life in a CCRC, moving between levels of care as needed

Is there a Medical Director?

Yes, we have a full-time Medical Director, Dr. Robert Kaville M.D., F.A.C.P. which allows us to continue our commitment to the community to be a provider of choice. This enables our residents to receive immediate medical attention on a daily basis with no delay in treatment. Dr. Kaville works closely with the nursing staff, residents, and family members which allows for quicker turnaround time to identify, assess, and treat unexpected illnesses. You also have the option to remain with your current physician.

Do you have nurses and aides?

Yes, our wellness staff is available 24/7

What accommodations are available?

St. Mary’s Villa offers residents a choice of either semi-private, private, deluxe or suite apartments.
What services and amenities are included in the monthly rate?

  • Personal assistance as needed for bathing, grooming and dressing
  • Licensed Nursing staff for health concerns and medication management
  • 3 nutritious meals a day with meal choices

Can I live in the Residence if I need a wheelchair or walker to get around?

Yes. We do require that you are able to “self-propel” yourself in a wheelchair. Many of our residents use assistive walking devices.

Does this mean that you can prevent resident falls?

Unfortunately, no. It is important to be aware that no assisted living community can prevent resident falls. What St. Mary’s Villa does do is provide an environment and services that encourage an active, healthful approach to living. Staying active is one of the best ways to prevent falls.

Do I have to sign a lease, what’s the minimum I can stay for respite?

Yes, our lease consists of our monthly rent and resident agreement. The minimum respite stay is 30 days.

Do I have to give notice if I decide to move out?

Yes, as detailed in our Resident Agreement, we require a 30 day written notice with no termination charges.

Is St. Mary’s Villa only for nuns and priests? Do you have to be Catholic to live there?

No, St. Mary’s Villa is open to persons of all faiths, races and cultures.

What do I need to move-in?

The move-in process is quite simple. We simply need the following (paperwork) and then complete additional paperwork on the move-in date.

Can I bring my own furniture and pictures?

Absolutely. This is your home and you should have all the comforts and furnishings to which you are accustomed. We provide a twin bed, dresser, night stand, sofa and lamp.

Can we have refrigerators in the room?

Yes, you can have mini refrigerators in the rooms.

Should my loved one need therapy can you provide it?

Yes, we provide Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy on-site.
